For the kids

On the Parc themselves the children will not get bored quickly. The many water parties offer plenty of opportunities for fishing, swimming, canoeing and rowing. Furthermore there are the children’s beaches, playgrounds, the playing field, the subtropical swimmingpool, the mini-golf, the golf course and the jeu-de-boulescourt. Everything a source of great fun.

If you are able to get them outside the Parc, then we have a few suggestions:

1. Wondere Wereld (wonderful world) in Ter Apel

The wonders are not yet out of the world. In Ter Apel exists even a real Wonder world.

Whether it’s the shuddering in the Dragons cave, or the magic of Merlin and his owl. In Wonder world in Ter Apel you literally dive in the wonderful world of nature. You imagine yourself in another world in the mysterious snake temple, the rats basement or the subtropical greenhouse. You should not be afraid of a little shuddering: giant spiders and the scariest insects, frogs, scorpions, you’ll find them all there.

2. Sprookjeshof (Fairytales) Zuidlaren

A theme park where the entire year, rain or shine, inside and outside, can be played.

In addition to the outdoor playground and indoor climbing gnome castle, there is the fairy tale park and petting zoo. In the fairytale forest, fairy tales come to life: with the push of a button you can get your favorite fairytale figures in motion.

In the outdoor playground as well as in the indoor climbing gnome castle, there are various children’s toys. For example the swings, roundabouts and trampolines. There is an indoor bouncy castle, ball pool and the “Bearboat” slides with here three very big slides.

There is also a big climbing mountain, a helicopter job that allows you to cycle through the air, a bouncy castle with an obstacle course, a play castle, family slide, cableway, roller coaster, a quad bike track and a freefall slide.

For the very little ones, there is a courtyard decorated with small slides, swings and soft seesaws.

You can also book special day packages for the whole family.

3. The Drouwenerzand

Also an amusement park where one can play the whole day at an all-in rate.

The park facilities includes an indoor “monkey-cage”, a pirate boat, spinning coaster, bumper cars, wild-west swing, Disney-airport, Rolling stones, indoor ass job, para-jump, train, oldtimer court, water square, boats, twister, skyglider and various other toys.

The entrance price includes all the attractions, frites, croquettes, frikandel, hamburger, fresh soup of the day, coffee, tea, lemonade and soft ice cream.

4. Kabouterland in Exloo

Kabouterland is located in the Drenthe village of Exloo. Experience a day out with gnomes, trolls and animals. There are various playgrounds, both inside and outside.

Go on an adventure! Wandering through a mysterious rabbit hole you can spy gnomes up close. Take an exciting trip through the troll cave, walk along a covered walkway past unusual plants and nice little exotic animals, to the enigmatic castle ruins.

5. Plopsaland in Dalen

Bisedes a fun park including bumper cars, slides, roller coaster, ball pool, climbing mountain, boats and special attractions such as the Anubis, Turbulent Sea, Lighthouse, Flying Bikes, Leaning Barge and K3-disco, there are of course the shows around gnome Plop and Bumba.

6. Nienoord in Leek

Family park Nienoord is particularly suitable for younger children, but also provides entertainment for the whole family. Children will love the large and safe children’s playground. In addition, there are a petting zoo, model boats, model railroad and a steam train.
